It all started a few years ago when a photo of Keanu Reeves from the most amazing movie ever (Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure) went viral. The Keanu Reeves photo went viral because he has the most amazing expression ever in it. A sort of "what the hell is going on oh my god what is that smell I think there is something really serious but not too serious about to happen." You know that look.

Anyway, as Keanu Reeves likes to say, this photo went viral and then a little while after that people thought it would be really funny to put meme text over it to help put into words the brilliant look on Keanu Reeves' face. And hence the Keanu Reeves meme was born, also known as Conspiracy Keanu.

Now, we'll admit that we are actually fans of Keanu Reeves' and aknowledge that he is not like his character in Bill and Ted's at all and is in fact just ACTING. But in our pretend world he is that character and that makes these Keanu Reeves memes all the funnier.
