There's no one who has done more memorable characters than Eddie Murphy. From all his movies and his time on Saturday Night Live, Eddie Murphy's characters are some of the greatest of all time. Sometimes its easy to forget just how many Eddie has created. From Buckwheat and Gumby on Saturday Night Live all the way to Norbit no one has done as much over a career. Let's just go over a few of them. From his early days he was Mr. Robinson, an amazing parody of Mr/ Rogers Neighborhood where he played the black version of Mr. Rogers. He did a grown up Buckwheat, which was an instant classic. A version of Gumby that would blow your mind. Not to mention James Brown. Then, in Coming to America alone, he did so many characters it's hard to count. From Sexual Chocolate's lead singer to almost all the characters in the barber shop Eddie Murphy blew everyone's mind with his old jewish man character. At the time Coming to America came out, no one had any idea that was Eddie Murphy. Like, at all. And that doesn't even get into Axl Foley from Beverly Hills Cop. The man is a genius.
With of Eddie Murphy's characters it seems appropriate to put a small handful of them into one funny pictures gallery lest we all forget the genius of one of the funniest comedians of all time.
