Sportscaster Pays Tribute to Robin Williams in an Amazing Way Author: Dosis Von Lustig Author: Videos

Upon hearing the sad news that Robin Williams had passed away, sports anchor Zach Klein paid tribute to the late star on his Monday night broadcast on WSB-TV in Atlanta.

While viewers might not have picked up on it at first, Zach Klein started the broadcast off with the following lines:

"For those of you who suffer from insomnia, Saturday’s Braves game was perfect for you as it ended at 2:29 in the morning. Tonight against the Dodgers a little more friendly for the timekeeper as this one ended a little after 10." If you recall, Timekeeper and Insomnia are both movies starring Robin Williams.

As the two and a half minute broadcast went on, he continued to mention 21 movie titles, one TV show name and one quote from a film...all starring or said by Robin Williams.

When later asked about the broadcast, which never directly mentioned Robin Williams, Klein said: “It was a hard day for so many and I thought a subtle tribute to a man many loved and admired was the least I could do.”

Klein ended the broadcast by using one of Robin Wiliams' lines from the classic movie, Dead Poets Society.

"Seize the day, boys, make your life extraordinary."

Robin Williams did indeed do that. Thank you for the memories. And thanks to Zach Klein for this amazing tribute.
