Pareidolia is a phenomenon that involves things that look like other things. Basically, your mind plays a trick on you and you incorrectly perceive a pattern that doesn’t exist (like thinking the moon looks like a human face). It typically involves sight but can also involve sound (like hearing some kind of hidden message when you play a song backwards).
